The adman who created the Wonderbra ‘Hello Boys’ posters with supermodel Eva Herzigova is coming to Ireland soon. Trevor Beattie will chair the 50^th Sharks international advertising festival in Kinsale in September. A founder of the Beattie McGuinness Bungay agency, he has worked on some of Britain’s top brands.

Beattie’s mould-breaking ads include Sony PlayStation, Ikea, Carling and the Labour Party. The 53-year-old Brummie with corkscrew hair was named Britain’s 9^th most influential media person in 2002. He produces ads for Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic and has bought a £100,000 ticket for its inaugural flight next year.
